Welcome to Up for a Challenge. The challenge runs from the week beginning Monday 25th February until the week starting Monday 2nd June. So thats 14 weeks in total. There are four teams in the main challenge, with 26 people per team:
When you email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your WI results, can you please make sure you include the following information:
1. Your board name.
2. Which team you are in.
3. How much you lost/gained at weigh in.
4. Your new current weight.

I will be updating you all with what is happening through the website. Initially i'd planned to have 60 people in total, but its ended up that there's over 100 of you, it's much less work if i keep you all up to date through here. Pure laziness, i know! So keep checking the website or you'll not know which team is in the lead etc...
Also, if you're wanting to join a mini-challenge will you please click this link to sign up! Your results for whichever mini-challenge you are participating in, is recorded on the same day as your weigh in. Although, the 'give it up challenge' works slightly different, whereby you track fortnightly.
You may notice the team pages have a different layout. This has been changed from the old design to make it easier to add on results in future weeks. Planning ahead! It requires more scrolling up and down, pain in the bum for you... but easier for me!

e.g. if you weigh in on a Wednesday, your start weight is from Wednesday 20th February, your week one result is from Wednesday 27th February, your week two result is taken on Wednesday 5th March... etc.
Whats the idea of the main challenge?
Simply, sometimes theres nothing better than a bit of healthy competition to motivate us to a goal! Each of the four teams will compete against each other, to see which one can lose the most weight, as a collective. Furthermore, the person(s) with the highest weight loss from each team, (otherwise known as the biggest loser), will appear in the hall of fame.
How much weight do i need to lose?
Thats up to you. When you sign up to begin with, i will ask for your starting weight, and the weight you would like to be, at the end of the 14 weeks.
What happens when i achieve my challenge goal? You get to bask in your own glory, while other's look on in awe and jealousy! What more could you possibly want! Also, if you're going great guns and achieve your challenge goal weight, weeks before its over, you will have the option to set yourself a new one.
What if i want to drop out? Hopefully, that won't happen! However, if you wish to drop out, at any stage, simply email and let me know. I can then offer your space to someone else. Otherwise, i'll keep chasing you for your weigh-in results!
Non-Submission of weigh in results:
If i don't hear from you, for two consecutive weeks in a row, i will email to remind you that you are taking part. If no response is made, i will assume you have given up and dropped out. I will automatically replace you in the challenge. Sorry if that sounds harsh, but its to make it as fair on each of the teams as possible. However, obviously i won't do this if you've already notified that you can't weigh-in [on holiday, no internet access etc...].
